Former or late Ghana National team player Christian Atsu Twasam was announced dead on the 6th of February 2023 was a Ghanaian professional footballer who was a winger. He was versatile so he sometimes played as an attacking midfielder or left-back.
Atsu was born and brought up in Ada Foah, Greater Accra Region of Ghana. He grew up in drastic poverty. He has a twin sister known as Atsupie Twasam and was one of ten siblings.
Atsu’s father was a fisherman who doubled as a farmer on the banks of the Volta River.

On the 6th of February 2023, the magnificent left-winger went missing in the immediate aftermath of the 2023 Turkey–Syria earthquake and was announced to be among those trapped under the rubble of Hatayspor’s headquarters based in Antakya following the massive quake.
After several controversies surrounding his disappearance, barely two weeks, On the 18th of February, confirmation was made by his agent, Nana Sechere that his body was retrieved from the rubble of the building he was staying in at 6:00 AM on Saturday.

Atsu was married to the British Wife, Marie-Claire Rupio who was an Author. The couple had two sons and a daughter.
The name of his sons is Joshua and Godwin. Atsu who is a Christian and always talked about God on his social media pages named his two sons Christian names.
Joshua Atsu Twasam is the older son of the late Atsu followed by Godwin the second born and the only girl who is named Abigail.
Joshua Twasam plays for an academy in England known as Team Gosforth FC. He is aspiring to become a professional footballer like his father. He won a trophy with his team before his father’s demise.
